The LUSTRE approach

Everything difficult, quietly handled.

Assessment, transport, rigging, dressing and collection: the parts of an installation guests never see, kept entirely in specialist hands.

Six stages

From first conversation to final collection.

Each stage is settled before the next begins, and each one is ours, so nothing about the light is left to chance on the day.

  1. Consultation

We begin with the date, venue, guest experience and visual intent.

  2. Venue assessment

We confirm access, setup timing, suitable suspension, power and venue requirements before accepting the installation.

  3. Composition

We recommend one, the pair or all three and establish placement, height and sightlines.

  4. Transport and preparation

The collection travels in protected packing, inventoried and handled by the LUSTRE team.

  5. Installation and dressing

Each chandelier is suspended from rated support, connected, tested, dressed and inspected on site.

  6. Event and collection

After the occasion, the collection is undressed, dismantled, packed and removed.

It begins with the date, the room and the feeling.

01 · The brief A conversation before anything is lifted.

02 · The room Ceiling, access and support, assessed in daylight.

04 · On the floor Every arm checked and every light tested before anything rises.

The installation standard

Confidence, considered before arrival.

Nothing is hung until the room has been assessed and approved. Where required, LUSTRE works with approved rigging and electrical specialists.

01Rated suspension
Each chandelier hangs from approved, rated support, confirmed for the venue before a booking is accepted.
02Independent safety
Every piece carries an independent secondary safety, separate from its main suspension.
03Power
Appropriate power is confirmed in advance, with approved electrical specialists where the venue requires them.
04Approvals and access
Venue approval, safe access and setup times are agreed before the day, never improvised on it.

Practical questions

Before the room is transformed.

The essentials behind a privately commissioned LUSTRE experience.

Can we collect the chandeliers and hang them ourselves?

No dry hire. Every booking includes specialist handling, installation, crystal dressing, dismantling and collection, and the chandeliers stay in our care throughout.

Can the chandeliers be installed at any venue?

Not automatically. Access, setup time, suitable suspension, power and venue approval must be confirmed before a booking is accepted.

Can they be installed outdoors?

Potentially, but only after assessment of weather exposure, support, power and the venue’s safety requirements.

Did Swarovski make these chandeliers?

LUSTRE does not claim that Swarovski manufactured the chandeliers or that every fitted crystal is Swarovski. Original Austrian Swarovski SPECTRA® crystal components are documented within the collection.

How far does LUSTRE travel?

Ballito and KZN are the launch focus. Selected destination installations are considered by private quotation.

What does an installation cost?

Every experience is privately quoted according to location, access, timing and installation requirements.
