A PLAIN-LANGUAGE NOTICE
How LUSTRE handles personal information.
This website is intended for private enquiries, planner and venue conversations, and information about LUSTRE’s chandelier experiences.
Who is responsible
LUSTRE is operated by LUSTRE CRYSTAL EXPERIENCES (Pty) Ltd, which is responsible for the personal information described in this notice.
Information we may collect
We may collect information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, mobile number, client type, event date, venue or location, guest count, room and access details, planner or event company, preferred chandelier configuration and your message.
Enquiry details are used for the requested conversation and service process. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing; any future marketing requires a separate, optional consent.
We may also receive ordinary website and correspondence information, such as browser or device details, IP address, website logs and the contents of emails or messages exchanged with us. Optional analytics will only be described as active when they are actually configured.
Systems and service providers
The website uses Vercel infrastructure for hosting and delivery. Enquiries are stored by Formed Web Studios’ form service, which runs on Supabase, and emailed through Resend to LUSTRE’s designated inbox. Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical data to help prevent spam, and optional website analytics provide limited usage information.
These providers process information on LUSTRE’s behalf under their applicable terms and privacy safeguards. Some processing may take place outside South Africa.
How we use personal information
- To respond to an enquiry and arrange the next conversation.
- To assess a venue, location and installation brief and prepare a private proposal.
- To manage correspondence, planning and delivery if you choose to proceed with a LUSTRE experience.
- To operate, secure and improve the website and protect LUSTRE’s legitimate business interests.
- To meet applicable legal, accounting or regulatory duties.
Depending on the context, processing may be based on your consent, steps requested before entering into an agreement, performance of an agreement, legitimate operational interests or a legal obligation.
When information may be shared
Personal information may be shared only where reasonably necessary with providers supporting the website, communications or enquiry process; professional advisers; or venue, production and installation partners involved in assessing or delivering a requested experience. It may also be disclosed where the law requires it.
LUSTRE does not sell personal information.
Service providers and other countries
Some technology providers may process information outside South Africa. Where that occurs, LUSTRE will take reasonable steps to use appropriate providers and handle the transfer in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
Retention and security
Inactive enquiry correspondence is retained for up to twenty-four months and then deleted or anonymised. If an enquiry becomes a client relationship, relevant records are retained for the applicable accounting, contractual and legal periods.
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect personal information. No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether LUSTRE holds personal information about you, request access or correction, ask for deletion where appropriate, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
You may also raise a concern with South Africa’s Information Regulator.
